Moroccan Themed Baby Shower

Saturday morning, I just love you.
I honestly can't remember the last Saturday that I slept
in past 7 AM. However, thanks to my internal alarm clock I
couldn't go back to sleep after my eyes shot open at 7:45. Yayyyyy!
So today has already consisted of a solo Pumpkin Spice date, Halloween crafting,
food prep for a super delish fall treat (post tomorrow) annndddd now I bring to you
a catch-up post from Jen's Baby Shower for sweet Mikaela that was held a few weekends ago.

Jen is a little planner herself! A few years back she traded in her Anatomy &
Physiology books for fabulous little wedding notebooks and Swarovski bedazzled pens and
said hello to the wedding planning World. She's helping with my own wedding and
"on her A-game" is a major understatement. So when it came time for HER baby shower
she kind of took the reigns and her girls had to start jumping in and asking for tasks.
Bottom line, it turned out fabulous.
Operation Moroccan-themed Baby Shower? Check, Check, Checkkk!
No wedding planner organizes an event without Chiavaris..
Festive Linens
Donut Hole Skewers
Bath Salt Favors
Mimosa Bar: Because no function before 3PM
is complete without one
Popcorn Bar
Amaretto cake with glitter truffles and Red Velvet cupcakes

Now can we talk about this little peanut's nursery??
I am a SUCKERRRR for pink and grey. So feminine and adorable!
The crib was compliments of Jen's co-workers and the little DIY-Queen
herself did the framed "M."
Crystalynn and I wanted in the crib. Standard...

The SWEETEST little baby booties you ever did see!

More Tailgating & a BEAUTIFUL Lake Baby Shower!

Hello Sugars! =)
Hope everyone else's weekend was FAB- miiiine waaass.
I'm in Ocala for meetings today and although it's a cram packed day-
it's still good to be home.
I still had time to stop at Starbucks and by 8AM this morning, I had seen it all.
Let me elaborate...
First I witnessed a normal looking man
(and when I say normal I actually mean not homeless)
be woken up by a police officer and then given a trespass warning
BECAUSE HE FELL ASLEEP.
Next! I eavesdropped overheard the person to my left
calling in regards to an apartment listed for rent to check on the animal policy.
They had 8 cats. Gross.
Thennnnnn (I'm not done yet...) I'm quite positive
the couple to my right has a "daily affirmation" routine.
They were both in their 40's and must have just gotten married.
For about 20 minutes I had to listen to
"I love you because...." Okay we get it.

So lemme me just throw a few pictures out there to wrap the weekend up:
1. 7:30 AM: Bryan, being a team player per usual.
2. 8:00 AM: Tailgate set up and I'm ready for some breakfast, please and thank you.
3. 8:30 AM: It appears that the boys are also ready for breakfast.
4. 8:45 AM: Couple Mimosas in & keeping it classy :):)

Also, did I mention I hate noon games?
It was hotter than ALL HELL and the boys were forced to
double fist while walking into the game:
We played Missouri (newly an SEC team) and it was a little
embarassing how empty the game was.
Perhaps the heat index and 110 degree weather had something to do with that?

Despite the ridiculous temperate- Love Love LOVE this Man! ;)
Note to self: Refrain from wearing bib necklaces
while sitting in the sun. Sincerely, your Tan-Lined Chest

Sunday I headed back to Ocala for April's Baby Shower!
And... You know you're in Ocala when you pass this:
(April has done my hair since I was in high school and my Mom
still gets her hair done at her salon)
Mom & I bought a play mat and I made this little beaut, which I anticipate being hung
on baby Sayde Grace's door:
Oh and then I got a little carried away with the wrapping. :)

So April's shower was hosted at Sandy's house, a family friend,
who lives on beautiful Lake Weir.

Are you ready to be blown away by pink cuteness?
Oookkaayy then!
1. ADORABLE garden flag and you all know how much I love tissue balls.
2. Cannolis!!!! I need to learn how to make these stat before I disappointing my
nationality :/
3. Loved this little dessert setup.
4. The "Betty Cake" Cake :) Most delicious cakes in the World
but Mom refuses to go back after ordering my UCF cake for graduation- which
came out Brown and Orange rather than Black and Gold.
Ohhhhh yes that happened.
1. It's not a party unless you have mason jars and Etsy straws. No, really.
2. Cutest favor idea! Bath & Body Works Mini Handy Sanis
3. Outside table setup on the beautiful back porch.
4. Diaper cakes are always a hit at a Baby Shower... but
there's just something about GIRL diaper cakes. :) Adorable..

Wrapped up the shower with our toes in the sand...

Then I spent the rest of the afternoon with my favorite Baby :)
My sweet, little niece Claire

Before we left my brother and sister-in-law's house,
Ashley had Claire model her Halloween costume on for us.
I won't share a pic of her full costume yet, but here's a sneak
peek of the little peanut:

Enjoy y'all's week!

Alligator Themed Baby Shower

Hello Friends!
Hope y'all had a nice and short week. Let's back up to LAST Friday.
Kelley (co-worker/friend/big-sister-figure-with-mom-tendencies)
and I decided to throw an office baby shower.
Office baby shower? You're probably thinking helium balloons
and a Publix cake? Not so much. There was no detail left undone.
All while being hosted in our office conference room.

Please see the baby shower episode of The Office haha :)

Let's start with the first glimpse:
Matt and Jenni (parents to be) had decided to
theme the nursery in kind of a "prep" navy blue and
kelly green alligator theme.
After searching through tons of baby shower ideas-
everything from football to wales to owls to nautical
(also really liked the nautical theme!)
we decided to keep the shower consistent with the nursery.
We obviously wanted the table to be the focal point.
Well, let's be honest we didn't have that much to work with.
We removed all of the "not-so-festive" conference room decor
and replaced it with burlap,
beautifully hung tissue balls (Kelley is super crafty) and
a few adorable banners/print outs from her Cricut.

With a little inspiration from Pinterest, the banners
turned out amazing. Kelley has officially convinced me that I must have one.
The tissue balls really brought everything together.
Having something hanging (or floating) tends to even out the decor.
In the past, balloons have typically been used, but news flash:
Tissue balls are the new balloons.
Sorry party stores =/ who spend tons on refilling the helium tanks,
but balloons are just obnoxious. I'm positive that I have risked pulling out
in front of another vehicle due to lack of visibility at least ten times.
Check out this tutorial on making tissue balls.
I didn't have enough faith in my tissue-ball-making skills
yet so fabulous Kelley is responsible for these as well.

Cake Pops!
We didn't want to go super overboard with favors or anything,
but cake pops are such a quick and easy favor. And they're cute.

The cupcakes were a very standard chocolate and french vanilla
but we decided cupcakes would be more ideal for a quick office
baby shower (rather than a cake).
The cupcake toppers also came out just too stinkin cute.
These we also saw on Pinterest. Kelley decided to
alternate alligator toppers with a monogram "C."

For beverages we used the ever popular
mason jars, with navy striped straws that Kelley ordered from Esty.
I stumbled across a "Swamp Water" concoction that caught my eye
because I thought it would go super cute with our theme.
It's lemonade and a few drops of green food dye. Fear not.

The shower turned out super cute.
And there wasn't a phone call made into the office that went unanswered.
Bottom line:
Office baby showers are possible.

It's Baaaaccckkkk! :):):)

Just for the record:
Can someone either confirm or deny whether or not Starbucks can actually make this fabulosity year round?

After making a huge deal on almost every social media network possible,
the general consensus was that I am an idiot for anxiously waiting
until September. I was told by MYYY Starbucks that
they don't carry the syrup year round but other locations do?
Very confused. Content :) But confused...
Happy Weekend y'all.
