October Photo Recap

I can NOT BELIEVE the month of October is already over.
We are 4 months away from wedding day and I know it's going to just fly by.

My new little Canon has been coming out to play quite a bit these days.
Here's some snap shots from the past month:

We decorated.
We took festive Halloween photos of our fur baby.
We went to the pumpkin patch.
We pouted like a small child when we were told "no" to getting
the lacey-looking pumpkin. ....still pouting over that one.
We baked Halloween ice cream cone cupcakes for our niece and nephew.
We forced our niece and nephew to eat the cupcakes so we can take pictures.
We burned through 4 Sweather Weather candles.
I know, I have a problem.
We went to the carnival.
We also watered our mums twice a week just like Mom said to and
they still never fully blossomed like they should have.
#overit
We watched our soon to be husby coach his football team.
We attended Mom's Zumba class for their annual costume Zumba party.
We carved a pumpkin.
Go Knights!
We went to the Coon Hollo corn maze.
We dressed up and passed out candy.
Correction: I passed out candy.
Bryan went all out and purchased a smoke machine
and a strobe light and scared every small child that walked up our driveway.
Our neighbors hate us.

I miss you already sweet October!

DIY Candy Corn Wine Bottles

I know... more Fall crafting... you're over it.
This week is the first week it ACTUALLY feels like Fall in Florida
so I couldn't resist a super quick DIY.
 Candy Corn painted wine bottles!

You will need:
- 3 Empty bottles of Wine
..that you likely finished the week prior.
- White, Orange and Yellow Krylon spray paint
- Twine
- A gazillion layers of news and scrap paper so that your
significant other doesn't come running out of the house screaming that
you're getting orange spray paint ALL over your new patio set...
Guilty..
- And finally, a delish bottle of some form of Pumkin beer because
Fall crafts just aren't any fun without one

Start by painting the entire wine bottle white- top to bottom.
Allow the white to dry then do the same with the orange but
starting just below the neck of the bottle.
This was where I literally had to google the order of the color
for candy corn... please advise, WHITE, ORANGE, YELLOW.
Don't be that person with their candy corn wine bottles out of sequence.
Once the orange has dried, finish spraying the bottom of the bottle
with the yellow. Once everything is all dried, twine those babies up!

So easy and SO stinkin cute.
Happy Friday friends!

Undecorating & some Pumpkin Spice Cuppycakes

In the words of Phil Robertson:
I AM HAPPY HAPPY HAPPYYYY!

Last week actually felt like FALL.
By that I mean that it hasn't been lows of 82 here in the F-L-A.
In other news, my treat countdown didn't exactly go as planned
but you got a few little treats out of it, right ??

Here's another, since I HAVE been promising some of these:

Since I haven't posted in a few days allow me
to bring you up to speed:

one. We are getting old. Haley and I spent Halloween
night passing out candy in the front yard while Bryan
got a bonfire going in the backyard and grilled.
Yes I did consume 3 tervis tumblers of Moscato
and question every child on their costume as they approached-
but that to me says adulthood.
two. BREW in Waterford opened back up last week!
Our downtown location has been doing very well but
we recently closed the Waterford one to make a few renovations.
Which means back to LATE NIGHT bar closes on Fri & Sat!
three. I am really loving my job lately!
Now, more than ever, I am so happy with my decision
to be in the sales industry. Keeping me VERY busy.
That being said...
four. I. Am. Exhausted.
I think it's quite apparent that I am
GO GO GO GO GO...
I never realize how busy I am until the end of the week
when I say to myself:
"Where did this week go??"
Now that November rolled around,
there will be no signs of slowing down.
five. I need a vacation.
Bry & I are 10 days away from our
seven year anniversary.
Yes, seven. As in 7. As in 5+2.
Swwweeet baby Jessuussss we need to book a vacation.
I suggest most people take a vacation once
every 4  months- so three times a year.
We are overdue.
six. Fall weather.
Please come back??!
I've been busting out the boots
and I'm just not ready for more 80 degree weather. :(

That is all for today friends,
I have a tonnnn ton ton of stuff to do!
Including but not limited to:

Cleaning
Laundry
Cleaning
Undecorating my house from Halloween
Yes, it has been almost a week :/
Cleaning
Ordering Bry's gift for our Anniv!

Have a fab Monday!

Halloween Treat Countdown: 3 days! [candy corn cupcakes]

Ok I skipped yesterday's treat post.
Oops!
So now we're only 3 days away from Halloween!
YAYAYYAYYAAAAYYY
Butttttt, today I have for you:
I believe the ingredients and instruction
process is pretty self-explanatory.
However!
Check out this Vanilla Cupcake post for a refresher if you must :)

I was a busy bee this weekend!
Friday night went unpictured but we braved
the 20 mile an hour winds downtown and went
out for dinner, a movie and celebrated one of
our bartender's birthdays.

SATURDAY was Jake's Halloween costume
contest at his Vet. Yes you read that correctly.
You know those people that blow up your news
feed with pictures of their kids? Every. Hour.
I am kind of that way with my dog.
Sorry I'm not sorry.
Is he not the cuteessstttt little Sheriff??
Anyway he won 5th place..
and no, not out of only 5 other dogs,
Mom already tried that one too.
There was probably around 25 dogs entered
and let me tell you- competition was steeeeeeep.
For example:
Coco was a pilot and she took 3rd.
Very impressed with her compliance with the sunglasses.

We actually ended up leaving with a ton of stuff.
Jake won a 2-night boarding stay (Hellooo vaca for Mom & Dad!)
a routine exam, a big bag of Science Diet
and a bunch of little treats.
I'd say we made out well :)

The rest of Saturday consisted of
watching a TERRIBLE Gator loss.
Georgia is such a dirty team.
Also! It appears that Georgia brought their own
officials- how cute.
And then for our Halloween party!
It wasn't as intense as it has been in the past-
mostly because a lot of our friends
were out of town for the FL/GA game.
We weren't even sure we wanted to have people
over until last minute but it was fun
and I love me a good bonfire!
Our costumes totally sucked.
Hello last minute.
Last night basically just proved that I am, in fact,
getting old. Uggghhhh holy headache.
Gone are the days where I
paraded around downtown for Halloween
in pumps and a tutu exposing my ass.
I am totally ok with that.
Currently I am watching Hocus Pocus
(for the 293128746th time this week)
with my Pumpkin candle lit, windows open
and Bryan has some ribs thrown on the grill.
CONTENT.

Until tomorroowwww <3

Halloween Treat Countdown: 5 Days [candy corn hugs]

HOLLYYY FRIDAY!!
Nothing about today feels like Friday and lucky for Florida,
we have hurricanic (yes I made that word up) winds all weekend yayyeee!
Let's see if we can multitask here, shall we??

First off, 5 days until Halloween!
I'm keeping today's treat easy-peasy because
quite frankly, I have a UFO Pumpkin beer screaming my name.
I wasn't going to lie to you :)

You will need:
Instructions:
1. Preheat over to 350 Degrees.
2. Arrange a single layer
of mini pretzels on a cookie sheet.
3. Place chocolate on pretzels,
making sure there is approximately 1 inch between each.
4. Place cookie sheet in oven for 2 minutes.
*The Hugs melt faster than the Kisses,
so make sure you watch them!
5. Remove cookie sheet and quickly
push a candy corn over each piece of chocolate.
6. Allow candies to cool in the freezer for 5 minutes.

Super easy, yes?!

Now let's write some Friday letters!

Dear Hurricane Sandy, you are ruining my weekend plans.
Also, please make up your mind.
Are you going to rain?
Are you not going to rain?
Either way, this better bring a cold front!
I have a cuuuutecutecute scarf I want to wear like yesterday.
Dear Jake, you are going to look *SO* handsome tomorrow
in your costume contest!
(Pictures to come)
I can't even express the amount of treats that
will be coming your way if you behave! :)
Dear Paranormal Activity 4, uugggghhhhhh.
I haven't slept in a week because of you.
I mostly keep thinking that I see
a dark shadow standing in my room once I
lay down to go to sleep. If that's not
terrifying, I don't know what is.
Dear Trick or Treaters, I'm so ready for yall!
I promise I'm going to have the best candy on the block!
Also, excuse my drunkenness. I may or may not
be downing a Tervis Tumbler of Moscato while passing out candy.

Go link up and I'll see yall tomorrow for some more treats!

We Just Don't Stop...

I have come to the conclusion that Bryan and I simply
Do. Not. Stop.
We are CONSTANTLY on the go.
And quite frankly, that is the way we like it.
We have a gorgeous home but only choose to stay in..
..ohh?? Maybe 2 nights a week?

Friday I had a totally cray day at work then
we hit the road for Ocala at almost 5 o'clock on the dot.
Friday night we had the traditional
"night before the tournament"
dinner at Mark's Steakhouse with Chris & Tiff.
Best steak ever.
Thennnn for a night out in Ocala!
Oh, how I love going back home :)
It is near impossible to be walking around the square
downtown without seeing ten people you went to
High School with- including but not limited to:
ex-boyfriends, high school football coaches, friends
whom you may or may not have had a falling out with.
Then there's the standard:
"WHEN are y'all getting married???"
Shut. Up.
Ohhh, always an exciting time :/
Then this happened:
We may have had several glasses of champagne at dinner.
I'm not sure.

6AM on Saturday came REAL quick.
Well, clearly after that last little snippet of pictures...
We were on our way to Golden Ocala by 7 to
kick off the 4th Annual Rob McCoy Foundation Golf Tournament.
To reiterate, Rob was Bryan's best friend who was killed
by a drunk driver back in 2008 at the Florida/Georgia game.
We miss Rob everyday and my heart still goes out to his family.
All proceeds from the golf tournament go to scholarships
and the Boys & Girls club of Ocala.
It's a huge turn out every year and it's so encouraging
that all of the boys come together  this time of year to make it successful.
For Rob.
It couldn't have been a prettier day for a golf tournament:
The boys who make it possible :)
How B.A. are the new Under Armour golf polos??

Saturday also ended up being a
fabulous day in college football.
A win for the Gators
(South Carolina has also been overrated since Day One)
AND another win for UCF! :):)

Then Sunday morning we headed to Tampa
to watch my Saints take on the Bucs for a 1 o'clock game!
The entire group we went with was super irritated
that Shannon and I were sporting Saints gear ;)
Bryan and I are clearly a couple divided :/
Are view wasn't too shabby either!
We just grabbed cheap tickets at sat at the pirate ship
bar in the end zone.
It was the Bucs' throw back game, hence
all of the orange and the old school pirate mascot.
The Saints won after the Bucs caught a TD pass
then STEPPED OUT OF THE END ZONE.
For those uneducated football fans,
in layman's terms,
that pass would be considered NO GOOD. :)

So that about wraps up my weekend!
Oh oh ooohhhhh. And I finally decorated my front yard!

I can't *WAIT* to have sweet little trick or treaters this year!!
Last year was a little depressing, I decorated per usual,
only to have 3 rude little boys pound on my door  in wife
beaters, holding out their pillow cases.
No candy for you. You look like this everyday.

HAVE A FAB MONDAY!
Re-Cap on the Breast Cancer fundraiser party coming soon!!

Weekend, where did you go?

Does anyone else also feel that our weekends
should consist of 3 days rather than 2?
All in for a 4-day work week say AYYYEEE?!
I was planning on a Friday post but I may or may not have had
a mini melt down session due to streeessssss OOPSS.
But anyway welcome back Monday
anddddd a quick Weekend Update recap with Sami!
Thursday (because I'm still at the point
in my life where the weekend technically starts on Thursday)
we went to the 1st pre-season Magic game.
I am less than thrilled for this season.
I blame you, Dwight Howard.
I am also a little annoyed that I paid $90 for your pink jersey
that was fun for all of ONE season.

Friday night consisted of cleaning and a well-overdue
night in watching movies. Going out was not an option after the Friday that I had :/

Saturday! Tailgating! Surprised??
I'm running out of game day outfits so I literally bought a little black
UCF dress last minute. I plan on recreating it.
I think yes.

Sunday was another boat day. Probably the last for a while.
I curse Florida for lacking an actual FALL or WINTER- but I must say
I don't hate still being able to jump in the water in mid-October :)
And of course we brought Jake.
He was well-behaved until Morgan & the boys started catchin fish.
Then it was back to him attempting to launch himself overboard.
This is when we took advantage of the fact that he has handles.
Little Bubbbyyyy! :)
He looks a little sad, yess??

Before you go! I had to share these awesome little cookies
from Bridget over at Bake at 350!
Bride of Frankenstein how cuuuuttteeee are theseeee??!
She is extremely talented and has an amazing skill set for cookie details.

On another fun October note, my Bunco Fundraiser is this Thursday!
That means I only have 3 days to figure out how to actually play.
hashtag callgrandma.

Wednesday October 24th I'll be starting an obnoxious
"Countdown to Halloween" baking session.
There are just way too many things on Pinterest that I neeeeed to try!
