October Photo Recap

I can NOT BELIEVE the month of October is already over.
We are 4 months away from wedding day and I know it's going to just fly by.

My new little Canon has been coming out to play quite a bit these days.
Here's some snap shots from the past month:

We decorated.
We took festive Halloween photos of our fur baby.
We went to the pumpkin patch.
We pouted like a small child when we were told "no" to getting
the lacey-looking pumpkin. ....still pouting over that one.
We baked Halloween ice cream cone cupcakes for our niece and nephew.
We forced our niece and nephew to eat the cupcakes so we can take pictures.
We burned through 4 Sweather Weather candles.
I know, I have a problem.
We went to the carnival.
We also watered our mums twice a week just like Mom said to and
they still never fully blossomed like they should have.
#overit
We watched our soon to be husby coach his football team.
We attended Mom's Zumba class for their annual costume Zumba party.
We carved a pumpkin.
Go Knights!
We went to the Coon Hollo corn maze.
We dressed up and passed out candy.
Correction: I passed out candy.
Bryan went all out and purchased a smoke machine
and a strobe light and scared every small child that walked up our driveway.
Our neighbors hate us.

I miss you already sweet October!

Dos de Mayo Treat: Margarita Cupcakes

It's May! It's May!
I clearly missed out on celebrating the first day of May yesterday
so I'll go ahead and take this opportunity to show the SECOND day in May a little attention.
Yes? Yes.

Cinco de Mayo is right around the corner.
Yes, another Sunday holiday. Which means May 6th will be an interesting morning
for all of the other working professionals out there.
Cinco de Mayo needs to be a paid holiday.
So does St. Patrick's Day.
So does the day after Super Bowl.
Catching my drift here?
Anyway I figured I would put use to some of those
festive Cinco de Mayo ideas and have some of the gals over for a pre-cinco
skinny margs/tacos fiesstaaaaaa!
It was also a good excuse to snap a ton of picture of more randomness.

I promise a full recap but for now I wanted to share this recipe
that I had been dying to make- margarita cupcakes!

Here's what you will need:
 For the Cupcakes:
1 box Betty Crocker Lemon Cake Mix
1/2 c Water
1/2 c Vegetable Oil
1/2 c Tequila
1 tsp Grated Orange Peel
3 Eggs
1 box Lime Flavored Gelatin
For the Frosting:
2 3/4 c Powdered Sugar
1 tbsp Lime Juice
2 tbsp Tequila
Pinch of Salt

1. Heat over to 350 and place baking cups in a 24
regular sized muffin tin.
2. In a large bowl, beat all of the cupcake ingredients on low
for 2 minutes and divide evenly into 24 cupcakes.
3. Bake 18 to 22 minutes and allow cupcakes to cool completely.
4. Combine ingredients for frosting and beat for 30 seconds.
5. Top cooled cupcakes with frosting and add lime wedge and straw for garnish.

Wam. Bam. Thank you, ma'am.
Easy Peasy.

They're definitely a fun little Cinco de Mayo treat and SO delish.
They can also be made without the tequila.
Which would have been an alternative option had my girlfriend Jen
told me that she was prego before this little fiesta!
No cupcakes for you, Jen Baby!

Enjoy!

Weekend Snap Shots & a Recent Purchase!

Happpyyyy Monday!
Said no one ever.

This weekend rolled by waaayyy way too quick.
I was really looking forward to relaxing and getting my glow on at the pool since
the past 3 months full of weekends have been packed.. and well, that didn't happen.

First and FOREMOST- overly excited to announce that I finally bought a nice camera.
She doesn't have a name but she DOES have a fancy schmancy new
camera strap on the way! Thank youuu ETSY!

Ok so technically I bought the camera strap before I bought the camera?
Yes, I realize that is ridiculous but I did kind of name our dog Jake before we even
knew we were getting a dog. Also, ridiculous. I know.
Anyway, Bryan has made it clear that he won't be toting around
this little beauty with THAT strapped to it but it was a necessity.

This Saturday was Stacy's 26th birthday which was the perfect
opportunity to start playing with me new toy.. Enter a TON of random pictures.

Clearly still a LOT of figuring out left to do!
Found a TON of good foodie photo tutorials that I'll
be browsing through this week...

Also! QUICK movie review!
So this past weekend we saw two movies...
We really do have a movie theatre addition.
Who goes to the movies twice in one weekend?
That's right, people, we do.

Friday we saw Pain & Gain which was definitely awesome.
DEFINITELY a little gruesome, which was unexpected, but the
movie itself was pretty good andddd it was a true story.
Action/comedy meets First 48 ? If that makes sense ?
It's a go.

Sunday night we saw The Place Beyond the Pines.
L-O-V-E-D.
It was a little odd at first- odd meaning is this Ryan Gosling I'm
looking at or Slim Shady? Also the scene where Eva Mendez
walks out wearing a tank top with no bra. 100% necessary?
A little hard to follow but good ending. Go!

Shenanigans or lack there of..

Happy Monday Morninggggg!
YES! I am annoyingly chipper this morning despite the time change.
By the way, it's 2013.
Invest in a smart phone people, it's amazing the things it will do for you.
Actually I take that back.
The clock in my car has been wrong since LAST daylight savings and a few weeks
ago when I finally decided to change it back an hour to the accurate time, I made
an executive decision to hold off on that until this past Saturday.
Makes sense, no?
Back on topic- not a ton of shenanigans to report this morning
as I purposely didn't cram pack my weekend with exciting festivities.
It feels like we have been out of town practically EVERY weekend.
1. Popped some cuppycakes in the oven Friday night
because the "baked goods" smell was starting to leave my house... sad!
2. Had some sushi at my FAVE little downtown restaurant with
Bry Baby and, of course, a movie to follow.
3. Met up with my parents in Daytona for Bike Week
and myyy my my my an experience it was.
4. Sunday walk with my boys. Can we say handsome?!
Say handsome.

This week will be consumed with:

1. Work. And a ton of it.
2. Cleaning. Literally I have a cleaning project to tackle every night.
Happy Spring cleaning yaaalll!
3. Dinners at home.
Yeap. We're trying to do that money-savin thing where we DON'T eat out.
via
4. And mastering this bad boy- which speaks for itself.

Everybody go back to getting your Monday on and have a good weeeeeeekk.

Undecorating & some Pumpkin Spice Cuppycakes

In the words of Phil Robertson:
I AM HAPPY HAPPY HAPPYYYY!

Last week actually felt like FALL.
By that I mean that it hasn't been lows of 82 here in the F-L-A.
In other news, my treat countdown didn't exactly go as planned
but you got a few little treats out of it, right ??

Here's another, since I HAVE been promising some of these:

Since I haven't posted in a few days allow me
to bring you up to speed:

one. We are getting old. Haley and I spent Halloween
night passing out candy in the front yard while Bryan
got a bonfire going in the backyard and grilled.
Yes I did consume 3 tervis tumblers of Moscato
and question every child on their costume as they approached-
but that to me says adulthood.
two. BREW in Waterford opened back up last week!
Our downtown location has been doing very well but
we recently closed the Waterford one to make a few renovations.
Which means back to LATE NIGHT bar closes on Fri & Sat!
three. I am really loving my job lately!
Now, more than ever, I am so happy with my decision
to be in the sales industry. Keeping me VERY busy.
That being said...
four. I. Am. Exhausted.
I think it's quite apparent that I am
GO GO GO GO GO...
I never realize how busy I am until the end of the week
when I say to myself:
"Where did this week go??"
Now that November rolled around,
there will be no signs of slowing down.
five. I need a vacation.
Bry & I are 10 days away from our
seven year anniversary.
Yes, seven. As in 7. As in 5+2.
Swwweeet baby Jessuussss we need to book a vacation.
I suggest most people take a vacation once
every 4  months- so three times a year.
We are overdue.
six. Fall weather.
Please come back??!
I've been busting out the boots
and I'm just not ready for more 80 degree weather. :(

That is all for today friends,
I have a tonnnn ton ton of stuff to do!
Including but not limited to:

Cleaning
Laundry
Cleaning
Undecorating my house from Halloween
Yes, it has been almost a week :/
Cleaning
Ordering Bry's gift for our Anniv!

Have a fab Monday!

Halloween Treat Countdown: 3 days! [candy corn cupcakes]

Ok I skipped yesterday's treat post.
Oops!
So now we're only 3 days away from Halloween!
YAYAYYAYYAAAAYYY
Butttttt, today I have for you:
I believe the ingredients and instruction
process is pretty self-explanatory.
However!
Check out this Vanilla Cupcake post for a refresher if you must :)

I was a busy bee this weekend!
Friday night went unpictured but we braved
the 20 mile an hour winds downtown and went
out for dinner, a movie and celebrated one of
our bartender's birthdays.

SATURDAY was Jake's Halloween costume
contest at his Vet. Yes you read that correctly.
You know those people that blow up your news
feed with pictures of their kids? Every. Hour.
I am kind of that way with my dog.
Sorry I'm not sorry.
Is he not the cuteessstttt little Sheriff??
Anyway he won 5th place..
and no, not out of only 5 other dogs,
Mom already tried that one too.
There was probably around 25 dogs entered
and let me tell you- competition was steeeeeeep.
For example:
Coco was a pilot and she took 3rd.
Very impressed with her compliance with the sunglasses.

We actually ended up leaving with a ton of stuff.
Jake won a 2-night boarding stay (Hellooo vaca for Mom & Dad!)
a routine exam, a big bag of Science Diet
and a bunch of little treats.
I'd say we made out well :)

The rest of Saturday consisted of
watching a TERRIBLE Gator loss.
Georgia is such a dirty team.
Also! It appears that Georgia brought their own
officials- how cute.
And then for our Halloween party!
It wasn't as intense as it has been in the past-
mostly because a lot of our friends
were out of town for the FL/GA game.
We weren't even sure we wanted to have people
over until last minute but it was fun
and I love me a good bonfire!
Our costumes totally sucked.
Hello last minute.
Last night basically just proved that I am, in fact,
getting old. Uggghhhh holy headache.
Gone are the days where I
paraded around downtown for Halloween
in pumps and a tutu exposing my ass.
I am totally ok with that.
Currently I am watching Hocus Pocus
(for the 293128746th time this week)
with my Pumpkin candle lit, windows open
and Bryan has some ribs thrown on the grill.
CONTENT.

Until tomorroowwww <3

Tailgate Treats and other Football Shenanigans

Happy Monday Friendsies!
Is everyone loving football as much as I am lately?
If not, I apologize for the obnoxious posts.
Typically my enthusiasm only lasts about another week-ish.
Thursday we hosted a draft party at Brew.
I thought I was being cute and made my team name
"You Just Lost to a Girl" in hopes that
this would intimidate the boys, but
CBS Sports sucks and didn't tell me there was letter max
in team names, so
"You Just Lost to a G"
pops up on everyone's home screen.
My team is looking rough and I don't anticipate winning.
NEXT TOPIC :/

Friday at work was particularly exciting!
We had "Football Friday" in the office- Carrie's idea :)
We all sported our fave team and since
I wasn't creative enough to throw together a
Saints/Gators/Knights jersey of some sort,
I wore orange and blue.
We all gathered in the conference room again
(the conference room is becoming quite the party spot I tell you)
and everyone brought some type of a football-inspired treat.
Enter Pinterest
I made Football Cupcakes,
which I have made before for Super Bowl
but shhh! They're still fun.
<3 Compliments to Ash over at Life After the Aisle
for making the team toppers! yay :)
Here's most of the office gang:
I'mmm still getting used to looking at myself with brown hair. WHOA.

Saturday? EEEEEEE 1st HOME GAME!!!
I have said this before and I will say it again:
Bryan is a freak about tailgating.
I will still be in the bathroom straightening my hair
and he has already packed a cooler and loaded the truck with:
the tent
the cornhole
the chairs
the coolers
the grill
the beer
the food
the beer pong table
blahblahbllaaahhhh
To top it off, he was actually prepared enough to
purchase a massive cart that transports all of this
madness, for that we may not look like idiots :)
It is, at this point, clear that guys
don't prepare for game day quite like girls do.
Typical Boy Checklist:
Ladies are obviously more preoccupied with:
*My coozie (koozie? whatever..) is still on its way so I was sporting by TervisTumbler.
But how cuuuuttee are theeeeeeseee??
I ordered mine from The Blue Dandelion.
I'm such a beer snob so mine will definitely be put to use over the next few months.

Anyway. I may have just turned 24 but don't be
fooled friends, I refuse to set up tailgate anywhere
else than right smack in between all of the craziness,
otherwise known as the student section.
It's like Spring Break.
No, I am no longer a college student.
But yes, I do make a point to take off for a week in March
and I may or may not be somewhere on a beach
consuming alcohol all day.
Until I have kids- I will be tailgating like one.
1. It's raininngg, its pouringggg..
BryanIsSettingUpTheTentAndCorinIsStayingDryInTheTruccckkkk
YAYYYEEE! Yeah I don't do wet/muggy tailgates.
2. Speaking of tailgating like children. Look at these fools
that I call my friends.
3. UCF beat FIU but not by a lot. I actually
started to get a little nervous towards the end.
These boys better lock it up before the Mizzou game on the 29th.
4. The Chevron Dress! Kelley found this gem at TJMaxx
one day and text me immediately asking if I wanted
her to pick it up for me. Yes. I love it.

That is all I have for you today :)
