Frost Like a Pro!

Upon graduating from UCF, two of my girlfriends actually bought me a "Frosting Gun" and tip set. This was, hands down, my favorite and most used gift. Actually it was right up there with my sleek and super efficient Macbook Pro (Thanks Mom and Dad!)

 Anyway- the Frosting Gun.

My cupcakes went from- "Oh cute, she tried to bake" to "Who brought the cupcakes??" I mean lets face it, unless you're six years old, your cupcakes should not be looking like this:

Once you get your hot little hands on your own frosting gun , you're pretty much ready to rock and roll. These are the four most common tips:

One Sweet Tip… To really make your cupcakes stand out, try experimenting with different frosting tips!

You can even get creative with it! Check out this gorgeous cake made with tip #4:

With a few decorating tips and your Frosting Gun loaded, you can turn plain, naked cupcakes into fabulous little treats.

Skinny Banana Pudding

I have such a sweet tooth lately! Ok, not lately. It's most of the time. I'm also trying to watch my calories, which is the main inspiration behind this post. Truthfully, I was craving some Sonny's Southern Banana Pudding. But one- Sonny's was not on the agenda tonight. Two- 550 calories in one serving? No thanks. So I gave this yummy, low-cal treat a whirl:

Minutes to Prepare: 15
Servings: 4

1 Box Sugar-Free Banana Pudding
2 Cups Skim Milk
2 Graham Crackers (4 Squares)
1 Cup Sliced Bananas

Throw 'em all together and VOILA! Banana pudding for around 133 calories!

FISH! (...and FISHING)

So we took the boat out on the St. John's River this weekend. Bryan, who has been watching the fishing channel for basically 72 hours straight, was convinced that we were going to catch something. So here we were- boat, 5 different fishing poles, 5 different lures- I was expecting our day to look like this:

It looked more like this:

Needless to say, we caught nothing. We were on the river for 5 hours straight and spent most of our time fighting the wind. After regrouping over a Bloody Mary and gator tail, we gave it a try for another hour and a half, which resulted in another down-pour and Bryan jumping out of the boat to stop us from getting thrown into the shallows by the wind. We decided to load the boat and go home.

We were obviously set on having some type of fish for dinner the next night. Mahi Mahi from Publix it is! My grill-master of a boyfriend was responsible for tonight's dinner. I mean, come on now! After all, the title of this blog is not "Corin Grills."  ;)

Really loving my frosting gun lately!
